New Classes Begin September 14th!
Thank you for your interest in learning about the Catholic faith. OCIA is the usual way an unbaptized adult joins the Catholic Church. It is also for baptized adults who have not received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion in the Catholic Church.
OCIA is a period of study that lasts about six months, usually starting in September and running until Easter. It is where we teach you the faith you will be professing to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion.
Classes are held on Sundays and begin at the 8:00am Mass. The catechumens (students) are dismissed after the homily to go and break open the word, or in other words, study that day’s scripture readings. After the Mass ends, the lesson for the day will begin. Classes generally end by 11:30am.
There is no cost for the class but you will need to purchase the book we will be using.
If you have any questions about the program please contact Deacon Bob Collins.
